Sunshine after a rainy ride into the office, but the sky still looks a little threatening.
The Steel Bridge has been providing lots of design inspiration these days -- it''s easy to overlook it among Portland''s long line of grand bridges that hold east and west together like a string of butterfly bandages or surgical staples, but its quirky early-industrial pulleys and cables have always seemed oddly charming to me, in a little-engine-that-could sort of way.
